Hard Decks

Hard Decks, founded in 2021 by Jayme Carlson and co-founder Andy Dawley, designs, builds and repairs custom decks from 2185 N State St in Belvidere. The crew brings 35+ years of hands-on deck building experience and works as an in-house team with no subcontractors, handling permits, materials and construction, and most decks take one to two weeks to build once design and permits are in place. Composite is the specialty, with Trex, TimberTech, Deckorators and Azek boards, aluminum or composite railings, and roofs and pergolas as upgrades, though pressure-treated wood decks are built too. Deck repair, replacement and restoration are offered. It is a TimberTech Silver Pro installer and Deckorators certified pro, licensed and insured, with a 3-year workmanship warranty.
